Services & Programs
Families In Transition works closely with families with children throughout Santa Cruz County who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. A variety of housing strategies are provided to support families in securing safe and stable homes for their families. A range of opportunities are available depending upon family situation.
Options include: One time rental assistance payments to prevent eviction or obtain housing, time limited phased rental assistance, housing scholarships while a parent is completing a job training program, transitional housing for up to 18 months, and shared supportive housing for parents in recovery.
All programs and services focus on the development of an individual plan of action to promote financial independence, healthy child development, and increased family well-being.
NOTICE: Families In Transition strives to provide support to as many families as possible in a timely and efficient manner. However, please note that due to limited funding and staffing cuts we regrettably cannot take any new referrals to our program at this time. Please see the "Current Updates" section at the top of the front page for more info. We thank you for your continued understanding and support.
